the art of a simplified kit
If you’ve been here a while, you know I love talking about growth—not just as artists, but as people. Over the years, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that simplifying my kit simplified my mind, too.
When I first started, I carried everything I owned “just in case.” Every shade, every product, every backup. I thought being prepared meant bringing it all. But the truth is, lugging around an overpacked kit didn’t make me feel more professional—it made me feel scattered.
Now, I see my kit as a reflection of my artistry: thoughtful, intentional, and curated. Every product in there has a purpose. The more I refined my kit, the more confident and efficient I became while working. It gave me the freedom to focus on my client—not on digging through a pile of products.
There’s something so refreshing about keeping only what works, what you love, and what makes your job easier. It’s a mindset shift that spills into everything else, too—how you plan your time, what you say yes to, and how you show up as an artist.
If your kit feels heavy or chaotic right now, take it as a sign that it might be time for a reset. Let go of what’s taking up space—physically and mentally.
And stay tuned… I have something special coming soon that’s all about helping you streamline, simplify, and feel confident in your kit again.
Wellness Tip:
Just like your kit, your energy needs editing too. Take a few minutes this week to declutter your workspace, your camera roll, or even your thoughts. A little reset goes a long way.
